Martor – Durable in the best sense of the word: safety knives from solingen.

MARTOR is the leading international brand for safe and efficient cutting. Quality and innovation are among the core elements of the family-run company from Solingen. At the same time, MARTOR is becoming increasingly sustainable. This applies to us as an organisation, as an employer and as a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality cutting solutions. With the safety knives SECUMAX 350 SE, SECUMAX 148 and SECUNORM MIZAR, MARTOR has entered a new product era. All products are made of recycled plastic. More sustainable knives will follow in autumn 2024.

You can discover the MARTOR range at EMPACK on 17 and 18 September 2024 in Ghent and get to know it better during cutting tests. The professional, GS-certified safety knives are used worldwide in production and logistics to open all types of packaging and cut the most diverse materials. The advantage: thanks to the built-in safety technology, users are reliably protected from cutting injuries and downtime due to cutting accidents is a thing of the past. Thanks to the controlled cutting depth and the safely shielded blade, packaged goods are also protected from damage. This saves costs and effort – both for the company and the customer.

Converted to recycled plastic, the SECUMAX 350 SE and SECUMAX 148 safety knives have a safely concealed blade for maximum protection of people and goods, while the SECUNORM MIZAR has an automatic retraction function. DOMO Chemicals’ “Technyl4Earth” recyclate was used for the first time for the new cutting tools. They are part of the new ECO by MARTOR line, which will be extended in October 2024 with four more durable safety knives. Take-back concepts are also planned for the end-of-life of the product.

The market leader from Solingen has been living and breathing sustainability for some time. sustainability As a family-owned company, it is natural for us to take a stand in this area and set new standards as a pioneer in the industry. A few more examples: MARTOR sources two-thirds of all parts from suppliers within a radius of just 250 kilometres. This increasingly includes parts made of recycled plastics. The long life, robustness and durability of MARTOR safety knives is a typical USP of MARTOR, which also significantly reduces material consumption. MARTOR products are packed in individual packaging and outer boxes made of more than 90% recycled and 100% recyclable material. With the introduction of a comprehensive sustainability strategy in 2024, we are setting clear company-wide targets, reporting on their achievement and ensuring the necessary commitment at all levels.
